Sarah Ferguson hit with another major blow after Jeffrey Epstein scandal

Sarah Ferguson may have thought the worst was over after her explosive Epstein email scandal, but a brand-new storm is brewing.

The Duchess of York, 65, has dominated headlines after it emerged she once described Jeffrey Epstein as her “supreme friend” in a 2011 email.

The backlash has been brutal, with multiple charities cutting ties. But now Fergie is bracing for a new headache, courtesy of a true-crime drama about her former royal aide, Jane Andrews.

Andrews, once Sarah’s trusted dresser, was convicted of murdering her boyfriend 25 years ago.

She served 14 years in prison before her release in 2015, only to be recalled briefly in 2018 over harassment allegations.

ITV is set to dramatize her life in The Lady, written by Debbie O’Malley (Humans, Call the Midwife).

The series will chart Andrews’ journey from humble beginnings to the glamorous world of royal service, before it all came crashing down in tragedy.

The cast includes BAFTA Rising Star Mia McKenna-Bruce as Jane Andrews, Natalie Dormer as Sarah Ferguson, and Ed Speleers as Thomas Cressman.

The show also features Philip Glenister, Claire Skinner, and Ophelia Lovibond.

The drama will air on ITV1 and stream on ITVX later this year.
