One Direction star Liam Payne’s affection for his son’s mother has resurfaced online.
The singer passed away tragically on October 16, 2024 after falling from hotel balcony in Argentina.
The pop icon’s death was heartbreaking for his only son Bear and former partner Cheryl.
In a video clip of the singer from 2019 documentary with Ant Middleton has been reposted on TikTok which has gained major attention.
The video features the singer 's feelings for his ex-partner, who was granted the power of administration of his estate after his death.
Liam is seen expressing his love for his ex-partner even after their split.
In the show, Ant Middleton & Liam Payne: Straight Talking, the pop star is asked about his relationship with Cheryl to which he replies in a positive light.
“We found our own unique situation around things, and obviously it's not the most normal situation in the world, granted.”
He further added, “I just hope she's happy, more than anything. She deserves it, she's worked really hard. She's a great Mum.”
The couple first met in 2008 when Liam auditioned for UK X Factor at the age of 14 when Cheryl was a judge on the show.
Later, in 2016 the two started dating and welcomed son in 2017. However, they eventually split in 2018.
