Jimmy Kimmel’s mentions of Donald Trump in his late-night show monologues have only gotten bolder and more pointed after his return.
The comedian’s monologue for Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday, just a day after his return and spike in viewership, contained a tearing apart of the United States’ President’s statement about his return.
As he was quoting and dissecting the politician’s remarks on his social media site about ABC giving the three-time Emmy winner his show back, Kimmel stated “You can’t believe they gave me my job back? I can’t believe they gave you your job back! We’re even.”
The talk show host also went over the part when Trump claimed that he would take legal action against the network and make them pay.
“Only Donald Trump would try to prove he wasn’t threatening ABC by threatening ABC. And you almost have to feel sorry for the people who work for him, who try to clean up the messes. They’ve been bending over backwards,” the 57-year-old said.
Notably, Kimmel also touched on the poor ratings point the businessman has repeatedly brought up, saying that the President might have some of the worst ratings of any of the ones that have taken office before him.
Kimmel was suspended over his remarks about Charlie Kirk’s shooter, which were linked to MAGA supporters and Trump.
