Simon Cowell and Mel B aren’t in agreement about 'America’s Got Talent' finalist’s actions
Simon Cowell and Mel B had a disagreement onstage, as one of them called out about America’s Got Talent finalist Micah Palace, and the other one defended him.
During the Tuesday, September 23rd episode of the show, the singer performed the songs Spanglish and No Sabo when the two judges seemed to have differing opinions about his behavior.
The spice girl began by complimenting the contestant and telling him that the party vibe was undoubtedly present in his performance before deviating to something else.
"I just wanna give you a few words of advice: you've got to be nice to everybody, the crew, the people that dress you, cause if not, you're gonna meet them on the way back down, anyway,” Mel stated.
The remark was met with immediate shock by Simon, who asked her what she meant by that but before she could answer, another judge, Howie Mandel shifted the focus back to the critique of the performance.
After he was done however, the businessman circled back to the topic, saying "I've just gotta butt in here, I've seen you, Micah, backstage — this is my own perspective — you've been really polite and sweet to everybody, so that was out of order” he said referring to Mel.
Notably, following the judges’ awkward back-and-forth, Micah added that his mother always taught him to respect others and apologized to anyone who considered his actions disrespectful, and that it was never his intention to be that way.
