Sarah Ferguson’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein have come under fresh scrutiny after an insider revealed the convicted sex offender once issued chilling threats against her and her family.
The Duchess of York admitted in 2011 she had made a “terrible error of judgment” by accepting £15,000 from Epstein to help pay off her debts.
But newly resurfaced details show she later emailed Epstein describing him as a “steadfast, generous and supreme friend”, an email critics slammed as shocking.
James Henderson, Ferguson’s longtime spokesman, told The Telegraph the email came after Epstein phoned him directly with menacing threats.
“He said he would destroy the York family and he was quite clear on that,” Henderson revealed.
“He wasn’t shouting. He had a Hannibal Lecter-type voice, very cold, calm, menacing and nasty.”
Henderson said the call was so chilling that he saved Epstein’s number just to avoid ever answering again.
He added the Duchess had little choice but to appease Epstein after the threat, describing the pressure to protect her family as “huge.”
