Kate Middleton dubbed royal family's 'ultimate weapon' after Trump visit

Kate Middleton knew the spotlight was firmly on her during Donald Trump’s glittering state visit to the UK and she rose to the occasion.

Royal biographer Ingrid Seward told People the Princess of Wales, 43, was “very aware” of the pressure but dazzled regardless, lighting up the Windsor Castle state banquet in a golden Phillipa Lepley gown and coat. 

“She lightened the whole evening. She lit up the table with the megawatt smile. There was a lot of pressure on her because all eyes were on her,” Seward said.

Kate, who returned to duties this year after cancer treatment, was seen laughing alongside Trump at dinner. 

“She obviously amused him. She is just a doyenne of perfect manners. He must have made her laugh,” Seward added.

Calling Kate “the weapon, not a secret one,” Seward hailed her as a remarkable future queen with “the most beautiful smile, which captivates everyone.”
