Angelina Jolie answers ‘difficult question’ about free speech

Angelina Jolie is giving her opinions about free speech in America, which is a conversation that has started ever since Jimmy Kimmel was suspended from hosting his show.

The indefinite pulling of Jimmy Kimmel Live! by the late-night show’s network has opened up a broader debate around if artists freedom to express their views is being suppressed, which has now earned a comment from the Maleficent star.

At the San Sebastián Film Festival in Spain, the actress was asked what she fears as an artist and an American, to which she gave a very solemn answer.

It is a very difficult question. I’ve always lived internationally, my family is international, my friends, my life.” Angelina stated.

“My worldview is equal, united and international. Anything anywhere that divides or limits personal expressions and freedoms from anyone, I think, is very dangerous,” she added.

The Academy Award winner also said that these are very serious times we are living in, and that people should be careful not to make any remarks casually.

Notably, Angelina is known for her philanthropic and humanitarian efforts and has repeatedly advocated for righteous causes.
