Lee Greenwood bids farewell to Charlie Kirk with special performance

Lee Greenwood, who is notable for being an American country musician, graced the heart-breaking funeral of Charlie with a special performance.

To say one final good bye to Charlie, the 82-year-old sang God Bless The U.S.A while dedicating the song to the departed soul and “for America.”

While the musician sang in his melodious voice, President Donald Trump took the stage and stood with pride in front of thousands of attendees.

Lee was praised for the service as many users pointed out it was well-deserved, while a fan noted that his performance is “always 1st class and best sir! May GOD bless America.”

A third netizen admitted listening to it is “always a goose bumps moment.”

Apart from the icon, the memorial was attended by the Vice President JD Vance, Erika Kirk (wife of Charlie), White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles and several Secretaries.

During the event, Erika revealed that she has forgiven the killer of her husband while sobbing as she spoke.

She announced: “That man, that young man… I forgive him” because that is what “Christ did and is what Charlie would do. The answer to hate is not hate.”

This came after the conservative political activist was shot dead in front of thousands of people who gathered at the Utah university event.
