Charlie Kirk’s shooting suspect’s identity revealed

American media personality Charlie Kirk was shot during his an event taking place in Utah Valley University on September.

The gunshot killed the 31-year-old who was a key supporter of US President Donald Trump.

Almost two days since his death, the suspect’s identity has been revealed.

According to Trump, the person of interest is in custody right now. It has also been confirmed by FBI Director Kash Patel.

The suspect is identified a 22-year-old man who is a resident of Utah who has been named as Tyler Robinson.

“I think with a high degree of certainty, we have him”, the US President said while making an appearance on Fox & Friends.

It was also revealed that the suspect’s father was involved in taking him into custody.

Earlier, Vice President JD Vance met with Charlie’s family in Salt Lake City where Charlie’s widow was seen publicly for the first time since the shooting. They travelled with his mortal remains in a casket to Phoenix on Air Force Two.

The late activist was married to Erika and had two children together, a three-year old daughter and one-year-old son.
