Alex Cooper has addressed swirling rumors suggesting tension in her marriage to husband Matt Kaplan, firmly denying any issues while reflecting on the misunderstanding that fueled online speculation.

The Call Her Daddy podcast host, who is currently pregnant with the couple’s first child, spoke about the situation in a recent episode of her show.

She explained that the rumors began after she and Kaplan attended a public event at the YouTube TV Upfronts in May, where their serious and composed demeanor was misinterpreted by viewers as a sign of marital strain.

According to People, Cooper said the pair had intentionally tried to keep a low profile at the event, as she had initially planned to keep her pregnancy private for a longer period.

However, wardrobe challenges and her growing baby bump made secrecy difficult, ultimately leading to their pregnancy being revealed sooner than expected.

She noted that the couple’s decision to appear reserved was purely professional, but it unintentionally sparked online gossip about their relationship.

Looking back, Cooper described the situation as a misunderstanding that quickly spiraled on social media.

Despite the speculation, she reassured listeners that her relationship with Kaplan remains strong.

Moreover, sources close to the couple have also previously denied claims of separation or discord, emphasizing that the pair are excited about entering parenthood together.

Cooper and Kaplan, who married in 2024, confirmed their pregnancy publicly in May 2026 through an Instagram post showing Cooper’s baby bump.

Since then, the couple has continued to share glimpses of their journey into parenthood while balancing public attention and privacy.
