Actor Gary Busey has been sentenced to two years probation after he confessed to criminal sexual conduct.
The charges came from his 2022 appearance at Monster-Mania, where it was reported by three women that he had inappropriately conducted himself with them during autograph signing.
His attorney, Blair Zwillman told The New York Times, "Mr. Busey is pleased that the case has been resolved and that he can go on with his life without any continuing, daily public adversity.”
The lawyer reportedly asked for a lighter sentence after the actor pleaded guilty, having cited health problems, including early dementia and mobility issues.
Superior Court Judge Gwendolyn Blue referred to Busey’s past charges of trespassing and disorderly conduct as reasons for his probation.
In the case made against him, one of the women alleged he brought his face to her chest and “asked her where she got them, before attempting to unlatch her bra strap."
He initially denied all charges, telling TMZ, "None of that happened. It was a partner, a camera lady and me, and two girls ... it took less than 10 seconds, and they left. Then they made up a story that I assaulted them sexually, and I did not. Nothing happened, it's all false.”
