Oasis singer Noel Gallagher paid tribute to late friend and iconic boxer Ricky Hatton after his demise.
Legendary English boxer Ricky Hatton passed away on September 14, 2025.
Ricky was 46 at the time of his dead when he was found lifeless at his home in Gee Cross in Hyde.
Calling the late boxer a “great Mancunian”, Noel remembered him and shared their last text exchange.
“We were texting each other last week”, Noel said.
Revealing their last meetup, he said, “I saw him at Heaton Park a couple of times that night, and he was on standard Ricky form.”
Speaking of his mental health struggles, the singer said, “We don’t know what has happened, but he did struggle with mental health, and it just shows you that you never really know.”
Noel’s tribute comes after his brother Liam shared a message of condolence remembering his late friend.
They singers walked Ricky for an iconic fight of world-title clash with Paulie Malignaggi, which was won by Ricky.
After that infamous fight, Ricky joined the singing duo in Mexico City to watch Oasis perform.
