Irish actor Cillian Murphy joked about his character from the hit series Peaky Blinders.
The actor played the role of charismatic and troubled gang leader Thomas Shelby in the crime drama.
Speaking about his character, he said he is not a “psychopathic gangster”.
The series began in 2013 with six season that ended in 2022 and a follow up feature film titled “The Immortal Man”.
Speaking about the upcoming movie, he told BBC, “I think it's better to keep it under wraps, keep it a surprise.”
Cillian will come up against Nazis during the Second World War when Britain opposed Germany and its allies before the US joined the fight.
The production of the movie completed in December 2024, but a release date is yet to be announced.
The Irish icon said the character was a “defining” role for him.
“To grow older with a character, you don't really get to do that, and that is the joy of long-form television.”, he said about Thomas Shelby.
Cillian has had a remarkable career ever since he starred on the show as he went on to win his first ever Best Actor Oscar for his role in Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer.
