Marlon Wayans, who plays the disgraced FBI agent Marcus Copeland in the 2004 fan-favorite comedy White Chicks, has given his verdict on a sequel.
The movie has blessed the internet with many unforgettable memes with its perfectly timed jokes and crazy antics but a part two might not be in the works.
In a livestream appearance on Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 3 livestream, the Him actor was asked about if he would be willing to take on the character again.
"Yeah, I don't know if that's going to happen, seven hours in makeup every day, and then we work 14 hours after the seven hours because we produced a movie,” Wayans noted of the film.
The actor is referring to his character having to pose as a white socialite at fancy events with his brother who (co-produced and) co-starred as the other half of the brothers-turned-FBI-partners in the movie.
"We only got 3 hours every night, so after work, we were still there. Taking the makeup off, that took an hour,” the Scary Movie star stated.
Notably, Wayans has previously spoken about the nature of comedy and censorship in the current climate, saying that films like White Chicks are needed for laughter and lightheartedness.
Marcus (Marlon Wayans) and Kevin Copeland (Shawn Wayans) are brothers off-screen and on-screen in White Chicks.
