Travis Kelce dishes about his emotion on engagement with Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce became emotional when he got on one knee before Taylor Swift.

On Sunday, Sept. 14, during an interview for NFL on FOX, Erin Andrews asked the NFL legend about how “rattled” he felt while proposing to the Grammy-winning singer, and he admitted that he shed “a few tears.”

In a preview of the interview shared on X, formerly Twitter, Kelce said, “She can tell that story. The palms were definitely sweating.”

“I’m an emotional guy, so there were a few tears here and there,” he added. “But it’s been an exciting ride up to this day, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her.”

Before discussing the engagement, Andrews asked the Kansas City Chiefs tight end what kind of joy Swift brings to his life.

“She has brought excitement and a joy for life that made me a better man, made me a better person, and made me just that much more comfortable in who I am,” Kelce responded.

After two years of dating, Kelce and Swift took to Instagram on Aug. 26 to announce their engagement, posting adorable proposal photos with the playful caption:

“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
