Succession star Brian Cox ran into an awkward situation while making his directorial debut at the Toronto International Film Festival.

The actor seemingly decided to forego wearing any undergarments, attending the event in a kilt.

His time behind the camera comes in Glenrothan, in which he also stars alongside Alexandra Shipp and Alan Cumming.

After the premiere, he was told during the Q&A that he had been flashing the audience and cameras.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, he responded by saying, “Is it that bad?”

“Or that good?,” he reportedly continued, “You have to wear the kilt the proper way. The kilt is designed to make you cool and free. And it’s a f******wonderful freedom.”

Cox was joined by costars Alexandra Shipp and Shirley Henderson on the red carpet, with Siobhan Redmond and Alan Cumming absent.

The synopsis of the film reads, “Two brothers following a violent exchange with their father on the day of their mother's funeral, the younger of the two left their Highland home for America. After forty years they reunite in the land of their birth.”
