Prince Harry's latest trip to the UK may have sparked speculation of a reconciliation with the Royal Family, but insiders say his chances are slim.
The Duke of Sussex, 40, returned to Windsor on Monday to honor his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, on the third anniversary of her death.
While the move was seen by some as a step toward healing, former royal butler Grant Harrold told the New York Post that there’s one glaring obstacle standing in Harry’s way: trust.
“There are trust issues there, but the King misses his son,” Harrold explained. “William is worried that with the stuff Harry has said, he could use it to his advantage again … like he’s already done. I think, sadly, they don’t trust him. It’s a shame, because Harry wants them to.”
Harry’s strained relationship with his brother, Prince William, 43, remains one of the biggest hurdles to any peace talks.
Despite both being in close proximity this week, there are no signs of a meeting between the pair.
