‘Wednesday’: Why you shouldn’t ship Enid with HIM?

Emma Myers, who plays Enid Sinclair in Wednesday, has addressed relationship speculation surrounding her character — and made it clear it’s not happening.

After Wednesday Season 2, Part 2 featured Enid and Agnes DeMille dancing to Lady Gaga's The Dead Dance in episode 7, fans began shipping the two characters.

While Wednesday is a spooky, gothic murder-mystery series, the school setting naturally allows room for romance, including Enid’s storyline with Ajax Petropolus.

Myers explained that she’s glad Enid and her ex-boyfriend Ajax received closure and ended up as friends, despite no longer being romantically involved. However, she strongly condemned the fan speculation about pairing Enid with Agnes.

"I say Agnes is a baby, a child. Maybe ship Enid with somebody her own age. That's what I'll say,” Myers reportedly told fans.

She also reflected on Enid and Ajax’s arc: “It was absolutely important to me, because the way that the relationship went about was just terrible — like how they had me essentially cheat on Ajax. I’m glad that we sort of make amends towards the end, because I love their relationship.”

Myers emphasised that although Enid and Ajax aren’t together anymore, she wanted them to remain friends.

“I hated that we were mean to each other this whole season, because I love working with Georgie,” she added, referring to Georgie Farmer, who plays Ajax. “I’m sad that I didn’t get very many scenes with him. I don’t want to be at odds with him next season."
