Jimmy Kimmel Live! is heading back to Brooklyn for a week of special shows, with host Jimmy Kimmel confirming the news during Tuesday night’s broadcast.
The late-night favourite will tape five episodes from the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Howard Gilman Opera House between Sept. 29 and Oct. 3.
Among the week’s guests is Stephen Colbert, who is preparing for his nine-month farewell run of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert after CBS unexpectedly cancelled it earlier this summer.
This will be the seventh time Kimmel’s ABC late-night show has set up shop at BAM, with more star guests expected to be revealed closer to the dates.
Usually filmed at the El Capitan Entertainment Centre on Hollywood Boulevard, Jimmy Kimmel Live! is executive produced by Kimmel, Erin Irwin, Molly McNearney, Jennifer Sharron and David Craig, with Douglas DeLuca serving as co-executive producer. T
The 22-year-old series is produced by 12:05 AM Productions, LLC, in partnership with KIMMELOT and 20th Television.
Kimmel’s Brooklyn run coincides with the fall return of his fellow hosts: Colbert, Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers all resumed their late-night gigs this week, while Bravo’s Andy Cohen is due back Sept. 8.
