Simu Liu recently gave a glimpse into his high-profile life of working on the most highly anticipated film, Avengers: Doomsday.
In conversation with a Japanese outlet, The River, the 36-year-old actor revealed that he experiences mixed emotions while filming alongside A-list actors he had always looked up to.
Simu said, “Every day feels like a dream. I get to go to work and work with people I respect and admire. I'm with some amazing people, so I do feel anxious at times. But everyone is so wonderful.”
Later in the Interview, he was asked about the actor who inspires him the most. Simu didn’t hesitate before answering, “The simple answer is Robert Downey Jr.”
The Barbie star praised the Iron Man actor, “He still takes the time to meet and connect with so many people. He's such a kind, generous, and inspiring person."
Notably, Robert will mark his return to the Marvel Universe as the villain, Dr. Doom. His character is said to appear in the form of Tony Stark in order to confuse the Avengers.
On the other hand, Simu Liu will reprise his role as the superhero, Shang-Chi, a master in Kung Fu and several other martial arts. He uses the Ten Rings to strengthen his abilities.
The character was first introduced in the 2021 action film, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
For the unversed, Avengers: Doomsday will premiere on December 18, 2026.
Yes, a sequel to the Shang-Chi film has been confirmed and is in early development; however, the release date hasn’t been confirmed yet.
