Cardi B’s appearances for her civil case after she allegedly assaulted a security guard is actively creating some of pop culture’s best memes, but on a serious note, the singer’s argument has just gained some serious weightage.
The Bodak Yellow rapper, whose legal name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, got into an altercation with the security guard, Emani Ellis, at her OB-GYN’s office back in February of 2018 after which the former got sued by the latter in 2020.
In the suit, Emani notes that she was called slurs and hit by the 32-year-old, while Cardi maintains that their fight was strictly verbal and her case has just been heavily supported by the gynecologist David Finke himself.
The doctor repeatedly answered with a strong “no” when asked if he saw the mother-of-three spit on, swing at, hit, scratch, or threaten the guard.
David also denied hearing the Grammy winner calling Emani “fat” or other derogatory terms including the n-word.
The plaintiff’s lawyer Ron Rosen, also asked the medical professional if he had any ulterior motives, such as not pushing away celebrity clients.
“It's very important for me to tell what happened that day and to ensure that anybody coming to my office, celebrity or not, doesn't have that type of experience,” David answered.
It is important to note, that the OB-GYN instead stated that Emani was the aggressor when it came to his receptionist as he saw her get hit by the guard.
Cardi saw Emani recording her as she went into the office and the two got into a verbal argument that ended up escalating.
The reason why the rapper was so against being recorded was because she was pregnant with her first child Kulture, with her then-husband Offset and hadn’t announced the news publicly yet.
