Cardi B, who share three children with ex-husband Offset, was called in court for testifying in assault case that was filed by her security guard.
Although the rapper denied being abusive towards her former worker, fans noticed something strange about the cross-examination.
During testimony, the WAP hitmaker was asked about the colour of her hair which left her visibly puzzled.
The plaintiff’s lawyer questioned: “Which one is your real hair? Or are they both real?”
Cardi, giggling, answered: “They’re wigs.”
Another query delved on a bizarre topic of her association with “a gang” before requesting to show her finger nails to everyone.
According to an independent reporter on X, these questions by the plaintiff’s team annoyed Judge Ian Fusselman.
On the other hand, fans were left confused about the situation as one user asked “what is she being sued for? How are these questions relevant?”
Another admirer made a similar remark on X: “What does her hair color have to do with the legal case?”
Meanwhile, the rapper has been sued by her former staffer for being physically abusive towards her and using racial slur.
The intention of these questions, deemed inappropriate to the topic, is yet to be known. However, the artist managed to answer them with her signature twist.
During her appearance in the court, the Grammy winner denied the allegations of having a physical fight with the former staffer.
However, she admitted having a “verbal altercation” with the guard for recording her exiting hospital during her OB-GYN visit.
