Jason Isaacs is opening up about his role in popular series, The White Lotus earning him the possibility of winning a highly sought-after award.
The Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets star has received his first-ever Emmy nomination in the Supporting Actor in a Drama Series category, which his family seems to be unimpressed by.
In an interview with People, the 62-year-old stated of his daughters Lily, 23, and Ruby, 20 that “They're not remotely impressed by what I do for a living."
The English actor went on to say that he’s happy to help them out with their household renovations and setup, and doesn’t mind that they only care about their father-daughter relationship rather than his acting career.
Isaacs further noted that he himself tries not to think about the prestigious nomination too much.
"I don't mean that it's not incredibly flattering and lovely. I just know that I've been doing this job for a very, very long time, and very rarely do you get this kind of attention," he adds.
The Event Horizon star further explained that he tries to not focus on the prizes bit of his work.
Notably, when asked about the impending night of the Emmys, Isaacs humbly added that he would probably just be star struck by all the extraordinary talent surrounding him.
The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards are scheduled to take place on September 15th, 2025.
