BTS star RM has teased the band’s long-awaited official comeback following his mandatory military service in South Korea.
The 30-year-old pop star surprised K-pop fans by revealing that BTS is back in the studio, working diligently on new music, and promising a fresh album along with a world tour.
The record will be their first since 2020, while the tour marks their return to the stage after the 2022 Permission to Dance on Stage gigs.
RM shared a heartfelt message on Weverse, revealing that he has settled into life in Los Angeles with his bandmates Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.
“It feels like ‘Bon Voyage Pyeongchang,’” he joked.
“Anyway, I feel like I’m working diligently somewhere… Making something ‘together’ with these friends, I’m going to commit myself to this moment.”
The star promised fans that their upcoming album will capture “the moments that are far away together” and hinted at a fresh, beautiful sound.
He signed off with a touching note, “I miss you. It’s been a long time… I guarantee you, I’ll be there soon. I’ll do my best until then. I love you.”
On Weverse, the group told their ARMY, “Starting in July, all seven of us will begin working closely together on new music. We’re approaching the album with the same mindset we had when we first started.”
The announcement has created a buzz among fans around the globe, who are already counting down the days for BTS’ next chapter.
BTS’s biggest hit is Dynamite, their first all-English single that topped the Billboard Hot 100.
