The Royal family shared a video of an emotional encounter between King Charles and a veteran from the remembrance service of VJ Day.
On August 15, the monarch and Queen Camilla honoured the war heroes at the National Arboretum in Staffordshire on the 80th anniversary of VJ Day.
During the sombre event, a 105-year-old Yavar Abbas paid heartfelt tribute to King Charles for always showing up despite being treated for cancer.
Buckingham Palace released a heartfelt video, showcasing the old veteran saluting the monarch, calling him "my brave King."
The statement alongside the video featured a line from King Charles' significant speech, reading, "In times of war and in times of peace, the greatest weapons of all are not the arms you bear, but the arms you link."
The message further said, "We will remember our heroes of the Far East, and all who sacrificed so much in the Second World War, today and every day."
"Thank you, Yavar Abbas, for your kind words acknowledging His Majesty’s work to ensure their efforts are not forgotten."
It is important to note that Queen Camilla was reduced to tears after her husband, the King, received a special title.
