Brandon Blackstock’s cause of death finally revealed

Kelly Clarkson’s ex-husband Brandon Blackstock passed away earlier this month after a long illness and the official cause of his death has now been revealed.

The 48-year-old talent manager had privately battled malignant melanoma, a serious form of skin cancer, for more than three years.

He died peacefully at his home in Butte, Montana on August 07, surrounded by his family.

His death certificate listed natural causes and noted seizures as a contributing factor.

Moreover, his body was cremated and no autopsy was carried out.

The tragic news was shared by a family representative on the day Blackstock died saying, “Brandon faced his illness with incredible courage. He was loved deeply and will be sorely missed.”

Notably, his passing came shortly after Clarkson postponed her Las Vegas shows to focus on their children River and Remington.

Furthermore, the singer explained on social media that she needed to be there for her children during this difficult time and thanked fans for their support.

"While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children's father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them," she said.

What happened between Kelly Clarkson and Brandon?

Kelly Clarkson married Brandon Blackstock in 2013 and they had two children. She filed for divorce in 2020, leading to a long legal battle over custody, finances, and their Montana ranch.

Their divorce was finalised in 2022 after disputes over support payments and property were settled.
