Pete Davidson made a candid confession about his frustration with the obsession that the media seems to have with his romantic relationships.

The Saturday Night Live alum, who has recently announced that he is going to be a father, talked about how he wishes his work would be highlighted more and his media portrayal makes him feel.

In the August 13 episode of The Breakfast Club, the The King of Staten Island star noted that he thinks that the reason people fixate on him is because he is “not Glen Powell handsome," and still had female celebrities that are considered better looking.

The 31-year-old stated, "I don’t want to victimize myself in any way because I’m cool, but the sexualization of me — if that was a girl, people would be like, there would be a march for it... Seriously. You're just talking about my d--- all day."

Pete continued, "It just got to a point where I was... I got really tired of my whole career just being like my personal life, and living through that is it's sort of traumatic.”

The comedian highlighted that he does not want the chatter around his love life to overshadow his career accomplishments, and that he wants his fame to come from his acting and other projects.

What project has Pete Davidson recently worked on?

Pete has recently appeared in the horror mystery, The Home, which was released on July 25, 2025.
