James Gunn gives insight into ‘Superman’ sequel

James Gunn’s Superman, that was released earlier in July starring David Corenswet was a massive hit.

The filmmaker’s DC universe has gradually become a fan favourite with just movie out yet.

Giving insight into the much anticipated sequel of the superhero movie, James revealed details.

Earlier in August, David Zaslav, the CEO of Warner Bros Discovery, announced that the director was set to create “next instalment in the Super-Family”.

James has so far confirmed the news that he is working on what he called the “Superman Saga”.

“I’m working on that and hopefully going into production on that not too far away from today.”, the director said.

“The treatment is done, which means a very, very worked out treatment. I'm working on that and hopefully going into production on that not too far away from today.” he added.

In July, Superman became the highest-grossing superhero film of 2025, surpassing all other superhero movies released this year.

It has also been confirmed that a Supergirl movie is set to release in June 2026. The movie’s production wrapped in summer earlier.
