Taylor Swift has officially chosen orange to be the colour associated with her highly anticipated album, The Life of a Showgirl, with an explanation behind her selection.
The 14-time Grammy winner’s fans query behind the orangish green hues were voiced by Jason Kelce, which made the I Can Do It With A Broken Heart singer give a fitting response.
During her viral appearance on the New Heights podcast on August 13, with boyfriend Travis Kelce and the former National Football League player as hosts, the pop sensation began by noting that she simply likes the colour orange.
"It feels like energetically how my life has felt — and this album is about what was going on behind the scenes in my inner life during [The Eras Tour], which was so exuberant and electric and vibrant," Swift further explained.
The Style crooner went on to hint at the sound of the upcoming album by referencing her collaborators Max Martin and Shellback, and listing her biggest hits such as Blank Space, 22, Ready for It, Delicate, which were made with them.
The lively, snappy, pop tracks are supposedly making a comeback in the new album, which is why it has such a bright colour representing it.
After the I Knew You Were Trouble hitmaker listed off the tracks, Kelce interjected with, "So that's the energy we're going for — okay, I understand why it's orange now. Okay!"
Notably, Swift compared the collaborative process to be like catching lightening in a bottle, directly quoting a song lyric from her previous album.
The release date for The Life of a Showgirl is October 3rd, 2025.
