Jackie Chans admits his on-set fear

Action hero Jackie Chan has made a rare admission about his on-set fears.

The actor, known for his stunts and thrilling action sequences in his movies, has admitted that he fears he will die on set one day.

The 71-year-old admitted that he gets nervous before filming a big sequence for a film and fears that an ambitious stunt might end up costing much more.

“I’m no Superman. I am scared. Before a stunt, I go: ‘Am I going to die this time?'”, Jackie said during an appearance at the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland.

However, he also insisted that he can still do his own stunts despite being 71. The actor said that he wants to make the movies the best he can.

“The audience doesn’t know about the rain or the producer, or that the budget was cut. They just want a good movie.”, he commented.

Comparing the movies from past decades to now, Jackie said that older movies were better than the ones coming out now.

Saying how difficult it is to make good movies now, he said “Now, these big studios, they are not filmmakers – they are business guys. It’s very difficult to make a good movie these days.”
