Wedding bells are ringing for the star footballer and his model partner
Star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has finally popped the question.
The Portuguese footballer proposed to his long-time girlfriend Georgina, who is a model of Argentine-Spanish descent.
The couple had been together for almost a decade and had been co-parenting five children together.
Breaking the news on Instagram, Georgina wrote “Yes I do. In this and in all my lives”.
The news was shared with a picture of Georgina’s hand featuring the big rock, place over seemingly Ronaldo’s hand.
The pair share two biological children together but the model has stepped up to take care of Ronaldo’s other three kids as their stepmother.
In the past, there has been constant discourse over if Ronaldo would ever propose, which the athlete himself has said he was waiting for “the click” to happen.
Interestingly, Georgina tagged the location as Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where the two have been residing since Ronaldo joined the team Al Nassr in December 2022.
Saudi Arabia has strict rules about couples who cohabitate without marriage but they made exceptions for the star player.
Ronaldo met Georgina in Spain in 2016 when she was working at a Gucci store.
