Meghan Markle has sent her U.K. fans a message after a recent popularity poll revealed she’s among the least-liked royals among Brits.
Over the weekend, the Duchess of Sussex hinted that her lifestyle brand, As Ever, could soon be available in the U.K., despite currently only shipping within the U.S.
Posting to her brand’s Instagram account on Saturday, August 9, Meghan shared a photo of her shadow as she raised a wine glass, accompanied by a playful caption.
“Oh, we see you too! Australia, UK, Canada - love to see how you’re finding a way to get your As Ever products. You have good taste...and good friends.”
The 44-year-old’s remarks suggest she has been keeping tabs on international fans who have found creative ways to get their hands on her products. But the timing is raising eyebrows.
A recent YouGov poll showed just 20% of Britons hold a favourable view of Meghan, with 67% saying otherwise — giving her a net approval rating of minus 47.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told the Express, “It is surely crazy in the week when Meghan’s latest YouGov poll ratings are minus 47 to hint that her products... might soon be reaching our shores.”
He added, “She has had some weird ideas, but if she believes her products will sell with a poll rating like that she really is deluded.”
