Drake has been on a streak of disappointing fans who hoped to see him live with back-to-back postponing and cancellations.
The One Dance rapper has seemingly been facing a lot of issues lately, as he postponed his Manchester concert, and has now abruptly informed his fans from the Down Under to stop hoping for a performance.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, July 29 Live Nation Australia confirmed that the 38-year-old had officially cancelled his shows in Brisbane, Australia and Auckland, New Zealand.
Previously, the Canadian rapper’s representatives had noted that they were planning to reschedule concerts in these locations before going radio silent, and following up now.
“Despite extensive efforts to find a solution, rescheduling within the necessary timeframe was not possible,” the website cited as the reasoning behind the cancellation.
“Drake remains committed to returning and performing these shows when his schedule permits,” it continued.
The fans will be receiving a refund for the tickets, however Drake appears to be unbothered by the trouble he has caused fans as he continues to flaunt his gambling woes on his social media.
The Tour was called Anita Max Win Tour, which is the five-time Grammy winner’s alter ego. The name is play on the words “I need a max win,” a common phrase in gambling.
