Princess Kate made a key demand after King Charles and Prince Harry's aides sat down for peace talks in London.
For the unversed, the monarch and Duke of Sussex's representatives were recently photographed, which was seen as a first big step towards future reconciliation between the Sussexes and the royal family.
However, there were reports at the time that the Prince and Princess of Wales were not part of the peace summit.
Now, Heat Magazine claimed that Princess Catherine is expecting a "very genuine apology" from the Duchess of Sussex in order to make peace talks smooth between the King and Harry.
The source said, "If Harry and Charles reconcile, then Kate and Meghan will need to do the same. There’s no point in trying to heal the family drama if they’re not willing to cooperate."
"Kate’s made it clear that she would need a very genuine apology from Meghan and for there to be multiple witnesses present if they were to communicate with each other," an insider revealed.
On the other hand, Meghan believes that the future Queen should be the one "extending olive branch" to the Sussexes.
"...the possibility of Meghan travelling to the UK to speak to Kate is a long way off. She has far too many more important things to be getting on with..." the report stated.
