Meghan Markles brand could explode in profits but still faces a crucial test

Meghan Markle may be sitting on a goldmine but experts say she could lose it just as fast if she’s not careful.

Since launching her lifestyle brand As Ever in April, the Duchess of Sussex has watched her seasonal drops fly off the shelves faster than you can say “organic wildflower jam.”

From £7 artisanal preserves to £22 bottles of Napa rosé, everything has been selling out in minutes, and now, new reports suggest Meghan could be making millions every single week if she simply ups her supply.

According to Newsweek, Meghan’s website pulled in half a million page views in the week of her second launch.

If each viewer bought just one jar of her cheapest £7 jam, that’s a potential payday of £3.5 million, in one week alone.

But before Meghan starts designing a jam-shaped vault to store her profits, branding experts are issuing a royal-sized warning: consistency is key.

“She could definitely be earning a million dollars a week,” said PR guru Nick Ede. “But right now, these products are more novelty than necessity.”

“Are people going to keep buying crepe mix or flower sprinkles every month? Probably not,” Ede said bluntly. “The consistency isn’t there.”

“The wine is actually different. People develop taste preferences and brand loyalty there,” he explained. “If she plays her cards right, gets the wine on shelves and available globally, that’s where the big bucks are.”
