King Charles III's latest move triggered a new war between the Sussex squad and the royalists with a post to congratulate Lionesses, as it missed black player Michelle Agyemang from the photo.

The 76-year-old monarch was slammed over 'lack of class', with some people alleging that the Palace staff's blunder proved Meghan Markle's racism allegations were true.

It comes after the royal family shared the King's message to encourage women's team ahead of the Euro 2025 final versus Spain on Sunday.

The photo was captioned: "A message from The King to Sarina Wiegman, the mighty @Lionesses and all in their support team, following their success in this evening’s Women’s Euros semi-final."

The blunder, which went unnoticed by the King's staff, gave Meghan and Harry's supporters a reason to remind the world of the Duchess of Sussex's comment about the royal family.

One social media users wrote on X (formerly twitter): "Where is Agyemang?"

Another asked: "Why was Michelle Agyemang excluded from the photo in your statement to the England women’s team?"

However, some royal fans tried to defend the King, with one writing on reddit: "The photo collage looks like something provided by the team not something made by Charles or his staff."

One user, called nycbadgergirl, wrote on reddit: "Very much not a racist family."

They added: "But honestly. Hire better staff because this is an own goal and completely avoidable."

However, one user blasted the King Charles' social media team for shared the picture, commenting: "If it was just one photo, I’d tend to agree, but it’s a collage of a bunch of different photos. So someone edited that together, and decided not to include the player who has unquestionably been the star for England in this tournament."

They added: "Several players are pictured twice, but they couldn’t bother to include Michelle Agyemang at least once?"

Another penned: "No, of course he doesn’t handle the social media personally, he employs professionals to do that for him, and they should have known better."

Why did Meghan Markle accuse the UK royals of racism?

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, who moved to the US in 2020 following their decision to step down as senior working royals, laid bare their experiences of the British monarchy in interview with American TV host Oprah Winfrey.

The Duchess of Sussex said there were concerns about how dark her son Archie’s skin would be before his birth and that such worries explained why he was not given the title of prince.
