Is Meghan Markle planning a shockwave in 2027? Expert issues warning

The royal family may want to brace for impact as Meghan Markle could be making a dramatic return to the UK, and she's reportedly bringing her “trump card” with her.

According to a royal expert, the Duchess of Sussex is expected to attend the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham, marking her first visit to her husband’s homeland since 2022, and it might not just be about cheering from the sidelines.

While Prince Harry has previously expressed concerns over Meghan’s safety in the UK, insiders say the event, which he founded in 2014 to support wounded veterans, is too big for her to miss.

And royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams believes Meghan may use the moment to make a calculated PR play.

“She will, of course, be expected to attend in Birmingham,” Fitzwilliams told Express

“Not to do so would be a public humiliation. However, the Invictus Games is Meghan’s trump card and she is likely to play it ruthlessly.”

By “trump card,” he’s referring to what could be Meghan’s master plan for public redemption, using Invictus as a platform to pivot toward reconciliation with the royal family.

“It’s all about optics,” Fitzwilliams added. “This could open the door for ‘reconciliation’, the kind that plays well in the press and online. She obviously needs a win.”

Prince Harry is reportedly extending olive branches too. According to The Mail on Sunday, the Duke has agreed that the royal family should be invited to the 2027 Games, including King Charles himself.
