Gwen Stefani’s son takes inspiration from father Gavin Rossdale
Zuma is following in the footsteps of his famous parents
Gwen Stefani’s ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale, recently shared that their son, Zuma, is showing interest in pursuing a music career.
The singer shares two sons with Rossdale, Kingston, 19, and Zuma, 16.
In conversation with Us Weekly, the Bush lead guitarist revealed his son had started recording, “I'm not even the best singer in my house anymore,” he confessed.
The Adrenaline singer added that he does not meddle with the 16-year-old’s passion, especially when it comes to music.
Rossdale wants his son to explore his talent and admitted that Zuma also serves as a critic for his work, “He's listening to it, and he's giving me the poo face, and he goes, ‘Uh, you're not putting that out, are you?’” he chuckled.
However, it seems like most of the inspiration in his son’s life is coming from Blake Shelton, Zuma’s stepdad and Stefani’s present husband.
In an interview with People magazine, Shelton gushed about his stepson stepping into country music, “150 per cent,” ever since he found an interest in the genre.
Notably, the 49-year-old singer is renowned for his country music, boasting over 30 No. 1 hits in the genre, and is actively involved in raising his brothers alongside his wife.
For the unversed, Gwen Stefani divorced Gavin Rossdale in 2016 after rumours linked her with Blake Shelton. She started dating Shelton in late 2015 and got married in 2021.
