Two time Grammy Award winner Chuck Mangione breathed his last at the age of 84.

According to the latest reports, the American flugelhorn player whose real name is Charles Frank Mangione, died peacefully during his sleep on Tuesday, July 22.

On Thursday, July 24, the family of the deceased revealed to the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle newspaper, saying, “The family of Chuck Mangione is deeply saddened to share that Chuck peacefully passed away in his sleep at his home in Rochester, New York, on July 22, 2025.” 

The 1970’s chart-topping song Feels So Good hitmaker's heartfelt passion can be witnessed by his fans in his songs, “that radiated from the stage.” 

Furthermore, the outlet added, “His appreciation for his loyal worldwide fans was genuine as evidenced by how often he would sit at the edge of the stage after a concert for however long it took to sign autographs for the fans who stayed to meet him and the band.”

Notably, in 1977 the jazz legend received his first prestigious accolade for the song Bellavia, which was originally written by his mother, Nancy Bellavia Mangione.

In 1979, trumpet player Chuck Mangione earned his second Grammy award for his single the Children of Sanchez.
