Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin had an unexpected slip-up during a recent concert in Toronto.

In a surprising moment, the 48-year-old frontman forgot the lyrics to one of the band’s biggest hits.

Martin missed his cue while performing “A Sky Full of Stars,” leaving fans briefly stunned before he stopped the music to address the crowd.

The Scientist vocalist, clearly caught off guard, openly admitted the mistake on stage.

"I f----d up, I f----d up. I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry," he told the fans in a video posted to TikTok.

He went on to apologise multiple times, admitting he had genuinely forgotten the words and hadn’t done it for laughs, as he sometimes does.

The pianist’s bandmates gathered around him as he collected himself, before he turned to the mic once again.

“I really messed that up,” he said with a mix of humour and embarrassment, joking about his age and asking the audience not to share the moment online.

“Let’s pretend it didn’t happen,” he added with a smile, drawing cheers and laughter from the crowd.

Martin’s admirers forgave the slip, appreciating his honesty and sense of humour.

Notably, fans took to the comments section of the viral clip to praise the seasoned performer’s humility.

“He’s only human, and the concert was still amazing,” one fan wrote.

Another added, “Chris can do no wrong. It made the show even more memorable.”
