Labrinth has finally addressed the backlash over his abrupt departure from Euphoria after controversial remarks stirred speculation.

On Saturday, April 11, the 37-year-old British singer wrote on his Instagram Story,

"People will comfortably lie in this industry and still call themselves honest people. So no cap. I decided to remove whatever music I had in it."

Moreover, he noted, "I left because — Last truth: When I work for someone, their vision is paramount to me, but I don’t let people treat me like [expletive]."

However, on March 13, 2026, the rapper stunned fans with a candid IG post, writing he was “done with this industry,” while also taking aim at Columbia Records and the series itself, adding, “Double f*** Euphoria.”

The statement added, "I'm out. Thank you and goodnight."

The post quickly sparked widespread reaction online, especially as the musician had long been seen as a core creative force behind the series.

For those unversed, he has been key to Euphoria’s music since 2019, with Still Don’t Know My Name and All for Us with Zendaya.

Following his departure, Hans Zimmer has now been named the sole musical director for upcoming episodes of the show.
