Emily Simpson revealed rare details about her 10-year-old son’s health struggles.
On the July 10, episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, the 49-year-old attorney disclosed that her son Luke is diagnosed with a rare eating disorder called avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID).
According to People magazine, Emily stated, “Luke has always been a picky eater, but it’s gotten to the point over the last year where he just doesn’t eat at all.”
“He doesn’t eat anything but he’s starving. I’m worried that he’s not getting the nutrition that he needs,” the sad mom went on to add.
Furthermore, she emotionally discussed about her son's health challenges, saying, “I’m worried that he’s the weird kid at school that doesn’t eat, and everybody’s going to make fun of him. I want my child to be happy. That’s it.”
However, according to the reports of Mayo Clinic, ARFID most commonly affects the young children and teenagers.
For the unversed, Emily is also proud mother of Luke’s twin brother Keller and 12-year-old daughter Annabelle.
The RHOC cast member Emily Simpson walked down the aisle with husband Shane Simpson in 2009. The couple shares three beautiful children together.
