Regina Hall fueled excitement around her highly anticipated film One Battle After Another, co-starring Inception actor Leonardo DiCaprio.
In a conversation with PEOPLE, the Girls Trip actress expressed her enthusiasm about working with Paul Thomas Anderson, calling herself “a big fan” of the award-winning writer-director.
“That was amazing,” she said of the on-set experience. “I was so excited to be part of a film that he was making.”
The movie featured a star-studded cast, including Benicio del Toro, Sean Penn, Teyana Taylor, Wood Harris, and others.
Hall, 54, heaped praise on the cast, calling them "an incredible group," and also commended Anderson's distinctive directing style.
“There’s no part that’s insignificant,” she noted.
The Little actress also recalled the first time she read the script.
“I was incredibly curious—‘What is this movie?’” the actress told the outlet, adding, “It’s filled with laughter, strong messages, humour, and wit.”
Based on Thomas Pynchon’s 1990 novel Vineland, the story follows a group of former revolutionaries who reunite to confront an old enemy that resurfaces after 16 years.
DiCaprio, 50, played the lead role of Bob Ferguson, while the Scary Movie actress starred as Deandra.
The dark comedy is set to hit theatres on September 26, 2025.
