Country singer Pat Green revealed that his family has had to suffer a tragic loss due to the floods that hit central Texas.
He explained in a statement posted to his Instagram that his family is “grieving alongside countless Texans whose lives have been upended by this tragedy.”
He added, “Right now, we kindly ask for privacy and space as we mourn, support each other, and begin to process what comes next for our family. Thank you for your love, prayers, and compassion.”
In another post, his wife, Kori Green revealed that Pat’s brother, John, his wife and two children are still missing after shockingly being swept away by the floods.
“We are heartbroken and anxiously waiting for all of them to be found. Thank you for your prayers,” wrote Kori.
Pat previously explained about a scheduled concert that “due to the unforeseen weather and tragedy around the Texas Hill Country,” he would have to postpone it.
“Our prayers go out to all the folks affected by the floods in the Texas Hill Country,” the singer added.
Torrential downpour over multiple Texas counties over the weekend led to a tragic flooding of the Guadalupe river, leading to the deaths of over a 100 people.
