‘16 and Pregnant’ star arrested for ‘involuntary manslaughter’

16 and Pregnant star Whitney Purvis has gotten arrested in connection to the death of John Mark Harris, which took place on February 17.

Following his passing Purvis left a comment on his tribute wall, months before her arrest.

Based on a statement from the Criminal Charges and Affidavit of Arrest, she was taken by the authorities on Monday, July 7 for allegedly distributing “a substance presented as 'Tranq,' commonly known as Xylazine and Fentanyl, to the victim, which directly contributed in the victim's death due to a toxic overdose."

Her arrest took place on the suspicion of felony involuntary manslaughter, further getting charged with distribution of a controlled substance and use of a communication device to commit a felony involving controlled substances.

Acting Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration's Atlanta Field Division, Jae W. Chung told People that the incident itself is also being investigated by the authorities.

The message she left on his tribute wall read, "I wish I could've found out sooner and attended your celebration of life. thank you for being such a great friend to me and always making me feel beautiful and cared for. You've came to my rescue on many occasions and saved me over the years.”

She added that they "bonded over being chefs, our love of cooking and our struggles."
