James Gunn teases 'Batman II' at 'Superman' premiere

DC Studios, under James Gunn leadership, has no plans to slow down as the Superman premier takes place Monday, July 7, the acclaimed filmmaker announced that Batman is also set to emerge from the shadows.

The Guardians of the Galaxy director appeared at the Superman world premiere and talked about the highly anticipated Batman II, which is to be directed by Matt Reeves.

The 58-year-old Creature Commandos director said, “I have read the script for The Batman part II and it is ‘great’.”

Gunn has also previously defended the delays in Reeves’ movie, telling fans to “get off Matt’s nuts about the sequel to his 2022 take on the Dark Knight.”

Previously, in an interview with the Deadline, Reeves also opened up about his upcoming superhero movie, saying, “The story continues from where we left off, but I hope that people will be surprised by it.”

The 58-year-old American filmmaker, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes director, announced that the sequel of Batman will film this year (2025).

When will Batman II release?

The Batman II, starring Robert Pattinson,Colin Farrell, Paul Dano and Zoe Kravitz, is scheduled to premiere on October 1, 2027.
