Sean “Diddy” Combs was apparently getting ready to get out of prison before being denied bail following a mixed verdict in his trial.

The rapper has been behind bars since September 16, 2024, after being arrested on charges of racketeering, sex trafficking by force and transportation for purposes of prostitution.

After a long and controversial trial, the much scrutinised jury began its deliberation this week to determine Diddy’s fate and reached its verdict in less than three days.

On Wednesday, the music mogul was found guilty of two counts of transporting Cassie and other sex workers across state lines to engage in prostitution.

However, the 55-year-old was controversially found not guilty of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges.

Following the verdict, TMZ reported that Diddy’s team started to make arrangements for his potential return and amped up security at his luxury waterfront mansion on Star Island on the coast of Miami.

Furthermore, the artist’s crew had a private jet on standby to fly him to Florida as they were hoping that he would be out on bail.

The outlet also revealed that news media personnel quickly converged at the residence as the initial reports indicated that Diddy might be released soon.

Diddy’s defence requested bail for their client but the judge denied the motion because the two guilty counts were enough to keep him in custody.

What is next in Diddy’s trial?

Judge Arun Subramanian has scheduled a hearing on July 8 to discuss with both sides when to carry out the sentencing.
