Lewis Capaldi has slammed fellow stars who he claims lied about checking in on him during his lowest point.
The 28-year-old hitmaker, best known for emotional ballads such as Someone You Loved and Before You Go, stepped away from the spotlight in 2023.
Reportedly, the Scottish singer took a step back after his Tourette’s syndrome left him unable to finish his Glastonbury set.
Speaking to Hits Radio, he candidly revealed that while pals like Elton John and Niall Horan genuinely reached out, others only pretended to check in.
“The day after Glastonbury, Elton phoned me,” he said.
“I didn’t even know he had my number, he must have got it from management. He told me it was wise to take a break. He’s a really cool dude.”
Furthermore, he added that Niall has been a constant support through their group chat, but admitted, “Some people said they checked in on me but did not. I can’t name and shame, but it was bizarre, really weird.”
While reflecting on his health condition, the Bruises singer also revealed that he is no longer on antidepressants.
“It was f*****g hard to get off Sertraline, but therapy has helped. I feel the best I’ve felt in a long time,” he confessed.
The star, who cheekily revealed Justin Bieber once “ghosted” him after a boozy night out, is now back stronger than ever.
Lewis’ new track Survive has already hit No1 and it seems so has his spirit.
His comeback tour sold out in seconds, with furious fans blasting Ticketmaster for chaos at the checkout.
