DC has officially confirmed that four of Batman's iconic sidekicks will take the limelight in its upcoming animated film Batman Ninja vs Yakuza League.
The movie is the sequel of the 2018 animated movie Batman Ninja.
Developed by a Japanese anime studio, the movie offers a fresh take on the Dark Knight continuing the story of samurai-era Bruce Wayne battling mighty Gotham City villains.
As reported by The Direct, Batman will join its four prominent allies as they face off against the Yakuza League in this sequel. It is the anime version of the Justice League with a deadly twist.
While DC has not revealed the exact characters that will make a comeback in this sequel, speculation points to fan favourites like Nightwing, Robin, Batgirl, and Red Hood.
The movie is set to release on July 3, 2025, which is already a busy month for DC as the first film of the new DC Universe, James Gunn’s Superman will also debut in July.
Though Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League is not part of the DCU but it expands the DC’s animated legacy.
Superman will be released on July 11, 2025, by Warner Bros. It is the first film of DC Universe’s Chapter One: Gods and Monsters.
