Wolverine star Hugh Jackman and his former wife, actor and producer Deborra-Lee Furness, have finalised their divorce one month after filing.
According to a Daily Mail report, a judgment of divorce was officially filed on June 12. However, the document was made public on June 23.
Moreover, before the divorce filing, two other documents were filed on June 10: a Qualified Medical Child Support Order, regarding children’s insurance, and Findings of Fact/Conclusions of Law.
The divorce was effectively settled two weeks ago, but it still required the judge’s final approval after the proposed judgment had been submitted.
An insider revealed to the news outlet that Furness has received a "handsome spousal support payment" for the two adopted children she shares with Jackman.
“A settlement was reached that Deborra is pleased with, which includes a handsome spousal support payment,” the source revealed.
The insider further added that there was some back and forth in the financial agreement; however, Furness received “what she believed she deserved.” Both celebrities are financially secure at the end of their relationship.
“There is not going to be any drama with this. It gives the closure that she needed,” the insider shared with the Daily Mail.
The former Hollywood couple made a joint statement about their divorce, saying that their "journey is now shifting" and have "decided to separate to pursue our individual growth." They vowed to put their family first and to embark on their next chapters "with gratitude, love, and kindness."
